Radfan Radiator Fan Classic range.
Radfan Low Powered Radiator Booster circulates any wasted heat from the radiator around the room.
Radfan Classic Small Radiator Booster Fan is designed for smaller radiators fitted with 2 Fans.
Radfan Classic+Small is designed for smaller radiators fitted with 3 Fans with a higher output to the traditional 2 Fan Version.
Radfan Classic Medium is designed for larger radiators.
Fitted with 4 Fans
Radfan Classic Medium+ is the same size as the medium designed for larger radiators. Fitted with 6 Fans with a higher output to the traditional 4 fan Medium.
When your radiator is on the Radfan with it's automatic thermostatic will switch itself on, the fans inside will then start directing the heat to the centre of the room.
With a conventional central heating system, radiator heat from the radiator rises and eventually warms up the room.
With the Radfan the heat is being directed to the centre of the room so it heats up quicker.
The Radfan is designed to suck up any heat from the radiator which would usually be wasted through the ceiling or back walls and circulates it evenly across the room, this eliminates any cold spots and keeps the room consistently warm.
The circulated warmth generated by the Radfan makes your room keep warm for longer and warms up quicker, allowing you turn down the temperature without any noticeable change in temperature.
Radfan automatically detects when your heating system is hot using a thermostatic switch, this allows the Radfan to only turn on when the radiator is hot and when it is needed to circulate air.
When the central heating system is turned off and starts cooling down, the Radfan will turn off too preventing any energy from being wasted.

Radfan Operation Information
Radfan is not designed to start immediately after being plugged in and switched on (excluding the Radfan Extra model with switch set on summer position). The fans are thermostatically controlled and not run on the radiator straight out of the box.
Radfan needs to be positioned on the radiator with the heating system turned on and radiator up to temperature . The fans will only start a few minutes after sensing the warmth coming off your radiator. When your heating switches off and radiators cool below 30 degrees C the fans will automatically switch off so as not to blow cooler air.
Radfan is not a silent product. The fan speed (noise) is designed as the optimum solution between airflow and noise level.
Usage
For indoor use on a water filled radiator to help recirculate heat within the room.
Please note that the Radiator Radfan is only suitable for water filled radiators and not oil filled radiators, electric storage radiators or electric convection radiators.
The Radfan Small model is designed for small radiators up to a maximum length of 1 metre. It contains 2 fans. Do not purchase this for use on Radiators over 1 metre long. Instead purchase the Radfan Medium which is twice as long and contains 4 fans. We cannot accept returns of Radfan Small for reason of lack of performance if you are attempting to use the Radfan on a radiator over 1 metre long.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q What size is the Radfan?
A Take a look at the to see the dimensions of all Radfans above.
Q What type of radiator will the Radfan work with?
A The Radfan has been designed to work with steel panel, water filled radiators. Sadly it's not suitable for victorian style cast iron radiators.
Q How is the Radfan powered?
A The Radfan is powered from a 12V power supply that comes in the box. The Radfans are very low power:
- the Radfan Classic uses 2W (about £2/year to run)
- the Radfan Long uses 4W (about £4/year to run)
Q How long is the power lead?
A The power lead is 3 metres long and is in 2 halves. The 1.5 metres connected to the Radfan is heat protected to live happily behind your radiator.
Q How noisy is the Radfan?
A The Radfan is a lot quieter than an electric fan heater and if you have the TV or Radio on then you can't hear it.
Q How many Radfans do I need?
A The Radfan is designed to be improve the comfort of the room it is fitted in. Most of our customers start with a Radfan Medium for their living room and then come back and buy the Radfan Small for the other rooms in their home.
Q Won't the heat affect the Radfan?
A Radfan is made out of the same ABS plastic that radiator control valves are made from and so it is more than happy at the temperature of a radiator.
Q What types of radiator will the Radfan fit on?
A The Radfan will fit on all standard panel central heating radiators and will self support on double and single panel radiators.
Q If I don't like my Radfan can I return it?
A Absolutely, we want everyone to be happy with their Radfan so if you don't like it for any reason you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. However please see operation information on this page showing how the radfan works.
Q Will the Radfan work on electric heaters/radiators or night storage heaters?
A Sadly not, we're sorry to say that with the huge range of electric radiators and their range of temperatures it wasn't possible to design the Radfan to accommodate these.
Q Will it work inside a radiator cabinet?
A Yes! Many of our customers have used the Radfan in radiator cabinets and have seen a big improvement. So long as there is more than 8cm from the top of the radiator and the roof of the cabinet it will all fit fine.
